Productive Summer

In a little over a month, summer vacation will be over and a new school year will start in mid-June. Our children are making the most out of their school break. It has been a productive couple of weeks for them and we’re really proud of what they have accomplished so far.

Our youngest was part of the service team of the recent Youth Camp in our parish. He has also been accepted to the SPES (Special Program for Employment of Students) Program of the government. He has been assigned a summer job at our barangay. Our eldest has applied as a student assistant at his school and we’re still waiting for an update on that. He has also been making some advance readings on the subjects that he’ll be taking this semester. He’s in his senior year in college and he knows that this will be a particularly hard year for him especially since they will be making a lot of projects and programs (he’s taking up Information Technology).

And since they don’t get to spend a lot of time online when they have classes, they have also been spending time surfing the web or just catching up with their friends and classmates on Facebook. Our youngest has even been looking for a musicians friend store locator online because he’s planning on setting aside a portion of his earnings from his summer job to buy a guitar.

Anyway, we hope that they will manage to stay productive and enjoy the rest of their summer vacation and be ready when school starts again.
