Our youngest started Senior High this school year and although we expected at first that there will be a lot of adjustment on his part (especially since he transferred to a new school), he has been doing well during their first term. Their report card has been released this past weekend and we’re happy that he has gotten high marks on all his subjects. He has also been doing well in all the extra curricular activities that he has participated in. He was part of the dance group that has represented the whole of the senior high school batch and has competed against groups from the college department. Their group won third place which is a great achievement on their part since they have only practice for a few weeks compared to the other groups who have been together for a longer period of time.
I am really glad about the fact that our youngest has adjusted well even though they have been really busy with a lot of projects. They are currently practicing for a paper for their philosophy class and a short play for another class. It’s a good thing that they only have classes in the morning; they can practice and work on their other projects in the afternoon. We just keep reminding him to manage his time properly so that he will be able to set aside ample time for each project and focus more on what he has to do. It great that they are encouraged to always keep in mind the tradition of excellence that they would have to put into all of their projects regardless of how big or small they may be. We, as parents, are fortunate that out youngest is learning important positive values that will help him not just in his studies but more importantly, in his life.
