House Buying Options for Military Families

Moving is an inevitable part of every military family’s life. Among the many challenges that they face, having to constantly relocate has been one of their top concerns since it affects every member of the family. Not only is the whole process of packing and unpacking tiring but it can also be very stressful. It can also create some money issues especially if the properties that they are intending to purchase of rent may cost more than what they can usually afford. Parents also consider the emotional effects that moving has to their children which is why they make sure that their children receive proper guidance especially  about having to constantly adjust to a new environment.

Although military families are aware that they most likely to transfer to another home every few years, it is still important for them to find a home that is suitable to their needs. There are, however a number of home buying options that are available for them and there are agencies and institutions that are willing to provide them with the assistance that they need.

Here is an infographic on how constant relocation has become a part of every military family’s life :

Do You Think Electronic Device Insurance Is Really Necessary?

Some analysts suggest that insurance such as for your smartphone is expensive and unnecessary. While consumer research strongly indicates that the popularity of such phones, and the ease of breaking them, makes insurance on the devices extremely important to consumers. In fact it indicates that 80 million cell phones of all varieties will be lost, stolen or damaged this year. Now that is a lot of money lost on your favorite electronic device.

Asurion Saves You from Mobile Mishaps. In fact a complete Asurion protection package, available through most wireless carriers, provides consumers with (1) Software that protects mobile data against the growing number of cell phone/smartphone threats and helps them locate a lost or stolen phone and (2) A replacement device, usually overnight, in the event a phone is lost, damaged (even water damaged) or stolen. Even better this peace of mind insurance costs a few dollars a month. Having to constantly pay for repair or parts replacement and even having to buy new gadgets can really take a toll on your budget which is why you should seriously consider acquiring an electronic device insurance.

What device will you protect?

One lucky reader will receive the Smartphone or Tablet of their choice {up to $800 value}!

Finding the Time to Exercise

Playing badminton has been one of our favorite pastimes for years now and since we also don’t get to have the time to exercise regularly, an hour or two of badminton three times a week help us stay in shape. Sadly though, we haven’t had the time to play as often as we want these past few months especially after my surgery three years ago. The only exercise I get is the half an hour of walking once a week which I know is not enough. I have been gaining a lot of weight since then and since I am aware that this excess weight may cause other health problems (and I definitely don’t want any more trips to the hospital), I am now more determined to set aside some time (most preferably an hour or two) every morning to play badminton with my husband. Our children leave for school early, at around 6 a.m., so we have enough time to play before breakfast. Once I get the hang of having a regular exercise, I might try other forms of exercise such as brisk walking or running. I still have to invest in some exercise gears though such as exercise apparel, jogging pants, plus size sport bra and running shoes so that I’ll be comfortable when I go running. Having the right gear also help prevent injuries which is why I need to make sure that I am wearing the right ones when I exercise. I know that I have to be committed to having a regular exercise regimen if I want to achieve my goal of staying healthy.
